I just went to check out my most popular social media posts for the month of October, and realized I did not make a blog post for the most popular September posts.  I'll feature these today and make another post in a week or so for the October photos.

My posts on Instagram and Vero during September featured photos made in late July on a trip to State Parks and National Monuments in Texas and western New Mexico.  The most popular photo of the month was this shot of Enchanted Mesa, taken on the tribal road on the way to Acoma Sky City west of Albuquerque. A black and white edit really brought out the brightness of the morning sun on the rock faces, and rendered an otherwise unattractive clear blue sky to more pleasing tones.

We stopped at Caprock Canyons State Park southeast of Amarillo, TX, where the high plains have been eroded by forks of the Little Red River.  We caught some nice afternoon light while driving through the park,  capturing the two photos below of the desert vegetation and sandy red cliffs in the canyon valleys, framed by beautiful cloudy blue skies.

October posts will feature more photos from this trip,  and some from my trip in early October to the Taos, NM area where I captured fall colors in addition to the traditiional southwestern scenery in the Taos area.
