My most popular photos on social media in Octboer featured photos from my recent trip to the San Juan Mountains area for fall color. Most of the most popular photos on Instagram and Vero were featured in my blog entry on the trip posted earlier, so in this case I had a pretty good sense for what was likely to be popular when posted to my social media accounts. The photo of the large waterfall at North Clear Creek Falls near Creede, Colorado was popular on both platforms, and the photo of the sunlit peaks across the meadow at Pagosa Springs was also among the most popular on both. My Instagram followers rated the photo of the Rio Grande on a rainy morning with golden cottonwoods lining the banks as the most popular of the month overall, while Vero followers picked the photo of South Clear Creek falls among the top 3.
