In late July-Early August 2025, I made a trip to the Breckenridge, Colorado area. The Rocky Mountain scenery is always beautiful, and on this trip there were some remaining alpine wildflowers in some locations. I spent one day driving over the Boreas Pass on the route of the old Denver, South Park, and Pacific Railroad, a second day exploring the high elevation settings in and around Leadville, and a third day on both sides of the Continental Divide at Hoosier Pass south of Breckenridge. I also made a couple of photos around Berthod Pass on the way to Winter Park to pick up my wife who was visiting friends in the area. In addition to the beautiful scenery, the cold mornings and cool afternoons were a welcome relief from the summer heat at my Houston, Texas area home. Below are some of my favorite photos from the trip.
